      The Associate Product Manager, Infectious Disease/Microbiology is responsible for supporting the Business Segment Director in all product management responsibilities including serving as a key project leader and collaborator between science & technology, research & development, marketing, marketing operations, lab operations, sales, and sales operations.

      The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the General Medicine, Women’s Health & Genetics & Provider Customer Marketing team, relevant Business & Technical (BAT) teams and enable the Business Segment Director to be a successful strategic commercial partner to the business unit and sales teams as well as the scientific, clinical, and R&D teams. This position is a great fit for an early-in-career professional who is interested in learning more about product development, diagnostics, marketing principles, strategies, and tactics, as well as experience in commercial and business acumen.

      This position is remote with an East Coast preference.

      Responsibilities and Duties

      • Support the development and implementation of product and disease marketing plans that achieve business objectives across multiple channels and audiences

      • Liaise with the Customer Marketing team on the development of creative assets, messaging, and positioning in alignment with brand guidelines, strategy, and business objectives

      • Budgetary stewardship for all marketing initiatives and work with Customer Marketing Director Finance and Market Insights team to track ROI and conversion rates or other business KPIs to prioritize & optimize spend

      • Analyze customer data to develop insights that inform marketing strategy and tactic recommendations to the Business Segment Director

      • Work closely with market research to understand customer beliefs, needs, preferences, and trends

      • Work with sales and sales leadership to support demand generation programs that drive pipeline growth and address customer-facing team needs

      • Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices, sharing knowledge with the team and applying learnings to improve performance

      • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, representing Marketing across the enterprise

      • Support the Business Segment Director to develop and implement long-term strategies for growing brand awareness and increasing market share

      • Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure that products are delivered on time and according to specifications

      • Support the Business Segment Director and learn stages of the product development process from concept to launch, working cross functionally with other departments (R&D, science & technology, lab, ops, etc.)

      • Deliver innovative content efficiently, manage the marketing budget, and ensure effective use of resources.

      • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, using data to inform the Business Segment Director and other Marketing leaders’ decision-making and support them to adjust as needed.

      • Follow through on commitments and be accountable for your actions and decisions.

      Experience and Education

      • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.

      • Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, business administration, or a related field.

      • 2+ years’ work experience

      • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including to senior management

      • Operates with a growth mindset and navigates ambiguity with curiosity and a solution-oriented approach.

      • Proven project management experience

      • Budget development and oversight experience


      Preferred Skills and Qualifications

      • Work experience in healthcare or science or work experience in product management or marketing

      • Demonstrated analytical thinking and experience using data to inform decisions.

      • Demonstrated leadership, including influencing without authority.

      Pay Range: $65,000-85,000
