The role you’ll contribute:
The Associate Project Manager (APM) supports the operations of the department by helping manage projects for all regions. Under minimal supervision, the Associate Project Manager supports specific phases of the project life cycle by working with the Project Managers to provide regular status reports to key project stakeholders and the Project Management leadership, prepare time and/or cost and/or resource estimates for assigned projects, tracking projects against proposed timelines, updating project plans to reflect actual progress and/or projects to ensure project information is up-to-date, and relaying information, including key decisions, issues, and project impact. With the support of Project Managers, this role requires collaboration with department stakeholders/clients/teams to understand goals, support strategic initiatives, and help accelerate the delivery and implementation of department projects. The Associate Project Manager will adhere to AdventHealth Compliance standards, as well as rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Responsibilities:
· Completes all assigned deliverables on time, communicates important project information, key decisions, risks, and issues to sponsor and project manager. Also, assists project manager with leading and documenting lessons learned and other project specific tasks when requested.
· Supports Project Manager with scheduling, leading, and documenting project meetings. Also, following up and tracking of action items, risks, issues and decisions with project team and department leaders.
· Performs process analysis, identifying opportunities for improvement and applying process improvement techniques to assist Business Leaders in improving operations.
· With the support of Project Managers, manages day-to-day operational aspects of project and scope.
· Consistently looks for opportunities to reduce redundant tasks as well as increasing efficiency with projects and PMO (Program Management Office) standards and process.
· Works with Project Managers and project teams to support small to large scale projects and transformations as prioritized by the department’s leadership.
· Reviews dashboards with Project Managers and project teams to discuss key findings, identify operational risks, and guide discussion improvement opportunities that enhance and accelerate the delivery and implementation of projects.
· Participates in internal and external training programs and keeps abreast of latest project management, change management and process improvement trends and technologies (e.g., AI-based automation capabilities, agile, data analytics, etc.)
· Collaborates with the Change Management team to ensure project impacts and change communications are managed and delivered effectively.
· Adheres to quality standards and procedures; reviews quality assurance documentation and compliance applicable to assigned projects.
· Lead process flow design sessions as well as the creation or modification of process flows and job aids/guides.
· Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Knowledge of project lifecycle and associated processes and methods
· Knowledge of and experience applying best practices of hiring department profession.
· Comfortable in leading and presenting project material to various levels of leadership.
· Understands business processes and analysis techniques related to hiring department.
· Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in English, both verbally and in written form
· Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, etc.) and collaboration tools
· Familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with various groups and departments.
· Ability to adapt to change, balance priorities, and use suitable judgement.
· Ability to effectively learn and perform multiple tasks and organize work in a systematic and efficient manner.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
· Understanding of profession based and Project Management technology and processes.
· Knowledgeable of change management processes.
· Knowledgeable of agile, hybrid, and predictive project methodologies.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Associate degree OR
1 year of project management or related experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
· Bachelor's Degree
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
· Process Improvement Certification
· Certification in Change Management
