      Position Overview

      The Associate Project Manager, Business supports a portfolio of complex, cross-functional projects to ensure business objectives are met and accomplished on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. This position partners with project managers and functional leaders in managing projects, sharing best practices, and developing effective strategies to support operational needs. The Associate Project Manager is also accountable to independently work with cross-functional teams to deliver smaller-scale projects. In addition, this role facilitates and manages projects within Operations (e.g., manufacturing, supply chain, technical transfer, distribution, etc.) and presents outcomes and status to leadership, driving awareness and visibility.

      Essential Duties

      Include, but are not limited to, the following:

      • Partner and collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams where appropriate to facilitate the progression of project initiatives by identifying tasks, dependencies, risks, and opportunities associated with meeting the company’s overall priorities.
      • Support cross-functional teams to execute on project tasks including effective creation and management of timelines, budgets, resources, risks, interdependencies, and project objectives.
      • Track budgets, timelines, resource allocation, and action items.
      • Coach and facilitate team leaders in project management processes, tools, and techniques.
      • Partner with project teams to help define the project objectives and employ the right level of governance and process.
      • Assist project management teams with connecting with stakeholders and planning for team meetings.
      • Escalate issues when critical risks arise and maintain pulse with project activities to ensure progress through facilitation techniques.
      • Monitor and prepare status reports on project deliverables and any deviation from project plan.
      • Establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and team members.
      • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple competing priorities within and across multiple projects at the same time.
      • Demonstrated success with oral and written communications/presentations, results orientation, facilitation, and teamwork skills.
      • Ability to work successfully within a matrix management organization.
      • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
      • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
      • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

      • Ability to work designated schedule.
      • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds for approximately 10% of a typical working day.
      • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
      • Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

      Minimum Qualifications

      • Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
      • 2+ years of professional work experience in a project-focused environment in the biotech industry.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.
      • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
      • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Experience in the healthcare industry.
      • Experience with genetic testing.
      • Experience working in an organization with matrixed management with primary responsibility for project success while relying on a team of resources outside of reporting structure.

      Salary Range:

      $59,000.00 - $95,000.00

      The annual base salary shown is a national range for this position on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms, conditions, and eligibility requirements of the applicable plans.
