      Job Description

      Role Overview

      We are seeking an Associate to work with a wide range of portfolio companies held within our Renewable Energy & Transition funds. The Associate will assist with strategic decision-making, investment activities and reporting activities for these companies. Brookfield takes an active oversight approach with its portfolio companies, specifically regarding major investment, divestment, financing and operational decisions. The successful candidate will require regular interaction with both senior leadership of Brookfield and senior management of portfolio companies.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Perform complex financial analysis and valuations;

      • Model the impact of returns either to the business or within the portfolio;

      • Evaluate investment opportunities and present recommendations;

      • Assist operating management teams and asset management colleagues with other corporate development transactions as required , including financings, dispositions, business plan forecasting, and strategic planning;

      • Collaborate with colleag u es to assess, measure and evaluate decarbonization opportunities;

      • Prepar e marketing materials for both internal and external use (co-investor reporting packages, quarterly reporting, investor day presentations, etc. );

      • Assist in the preparation and review of all internal fund reporting;

      • Attending regular quarterly board meetings for companies, helping in the preparation of materials where required ;

      • Conduct special projects, as required .

      Required Skills

      • 2-3 years of experience in Investment Banking (M&A), Restructuring, Private Equity, Renewable Power investments or other relevant areas;

      • High level of proficiency in Excel and Power Point and very strong financial mode l ling skills;

      • Analytical with strong understanding and execution of applied financial, investment analyses, and very strong financial modelling ability;

      • Professional with a positive attitude, capable of contributing to a dynamic and team-oriented culture;

      • Self-motivated with a proven ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, cope with changing priorities and meet deadlines;

      • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, able to interact across all levels of the organization;

      • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment;

      • Background in energy-related, infrastructure or industrial sectors is beneficial;

      • Additional European languages is an advantage;

      • Strong interest in decarbonization and impact investments.
