      Responsibilities

      The Associate Sales Representative for Process Analytics is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Hamilton process sensor accounts. Requires management of existing customers and prospecting for new customers to expand the customer base and meet or exceed yearly growth targets. Success in this position requires identifying a customer’s needs and positioning the appropriate product to fill that need. This is a technical sales role requiring an understanding of analytical sensors and their application in bioprocesses. Territory includes: OH, IN, WV, KY Ideal candidate would reside in Indianapolis, IN.

      Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

      • Establish a working relationship with existing customers to expand account penetration with all Hamilton sensor products.
      • Prospect for new leads by attending tradeshow, social networking, and cold calling.
      • Development of a business plan and sales strategy for the assigned territory that ensures attainment of company sales targets.
      • Perform a monthly review with sales management and adjust sales activities to optimize grow.
      • Utilize the CRM to facilitate the sales process and communicate sales pipeline.
      • Initiates, identifies, and coordinate action plans to penetrate new customers in territory.
      • Coordinate customer visits, demo follow-ups or lunch and learns as necessary to facilitate efficient sales trips.
      • Assists team in the development and implementation of marketing plans and objectives, as needed.
      • Maintains accurate records and reports on feedback from the field to senior management.
      • Controls expenses and time management to meet budget guidelines and productivity.
      • Ability to travel 75% with overnight travel 25%
      • Other duties as assigned.

      Qualifications

      • Strong leadership skills.
      • Demonstrated track record of driving sales.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Ability to travel at least 75% of the time with no restrictions.
      • Superior time management skills and the ability to complete tasks on time and from the road.
      • Understanding of the markets where Hamilton competes, including biopharmaceutical, food and beverage, chemical processing, etc.

      Education/Experience

      • A bachelor’s degree, preferably in the sciences or engineering, from an accredited not-for-profit institution or equivalent experience is required.
      • At least one year of sales experience in the Life Science market is required.
      • Experience with sales and distribution of analytical process equipment is required.
      • Experience with pH, Dissolved Oxygen, and Conductivity sensors is preferred.
