      About our Team

      At STM Journals, we collaborate with researchers to facilitate the publication of their impactful scientific discoveries, with a focus on rigorous peer review, ethics, and reproducibility. In support of our portfolio of 2700+ hybrid and open access scientific journals, you will actively contribute to advancing science, improving health outcomes, and fostering equitable participation in publishing.

      About the Role

      You'll be supporting our rapidly growing journal portfolio and collaborating with numerous editorial teams. You will share our passion for helping authors publish their research in a straightforward and efficient way. You will be comfortable working on various journals at the same time and communicating externally with editors and authors.

      Responsibilities

      • Handling manuscripts and all aspects of day-to-day editorial, production, and publishing operations
      • Safeguarding the ethical quality and rigor of new article submissions.
      • Executing on the content strategy for the journals in collaboration with the Publisher and Scientific Editor team. Ensuring alignment with the departments and wider organization’s strategies.
      • Building a network of editors, scientific reviewers, and authors.
      • Working on specific content projects, including content commissioning, when needed.


      Requirements

      • Have a PhD in Genetics/Molecular Biology/Biochemistry or a closely related field.
      • Be customer-focused and attentive.
      • Have a dynamic, flexible, customer centric and results-oriented approach to goals and objectives.
      • Able to work well in a collaborative environment and a drive to collaborate across multiple internal departments.
      • Have good communication skills and excellent written and spoken English.
      • Be a relationship builder, people lover; able to build relationships both within the scientific community as well as within Elsevier.
      • Have broad scientific interests and desire to serve and help customers in the scientific and clinical community.
