Job Description

- Prepare, review, proofread, and modify technical environmental reports and proposals in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Provide a consistent work product according to ECT's styles and standards.
- Review and summarize previous reports, historical and regulatory records, and other documentation as related to each project.
- Conduct telephone and/or email interviews with property owners, occupants, key site personnel, and federal, state, and local government officials to obtain information concerning the environmental conditions related to a property.
- Recognize and identify environmental issues based on information provided by the assessor, EP, research, and interviews.
- Maintain communication with supervisor and/or project manager to keep them informed of any actual or potential concerns, including continuous updates of report status.
- Perform regulatory and technical research as needed to support various projects.
- Minimum bachelor's degree in technical or professional writing, history, English, environmental studies, or related with emphasis on writing and research, 1-2 years of experience in environmental due diligence or other environmental field preferred; a combination of experience and education may be substituted.
- Proper business English, spelling, grammar; Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Adobe PDF or similar, and various Internet browsers; APA style helpful
- Ability to learn primarily through verbal instruction, training, reading, researching and observation in an on-the-job setting.
- Ability to work well independently/in a remote setting, and willingness to foster a team environment.
- Document and organize while working on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Learn to use new computer programs or software such as Quire report writing platform.
- Knowledge of Critical Issues Analysis (CIAs), Site Characterization Studies (SCS), Environmental Assessments (EAs), Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I ESAs) helpful but not required.
- Knowledge of proper business English, spelling, grammar; Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Adobe PDF or similar, and various Internet browsers; APA style helpful
- Willingness to travel occasionally (20% or less).
