As an Associate Scientist, you will support process and product development activities for the development of cell and viral therapy.
Accountabilities:
You will perform analytical assays in support of cellular health such as viability, apoptosis, flow cytometry, potency etc. You will design, develop and execute experiments in the areas of formulation screening and development, cryopreservation, fill-finish, and/or biophysical characterization. You will make detailed observations, analyze data, interpret results, maintain documentation, and prepare detailed technical reports, summaries and protocols with minimal supervision. You will present findings at internal meetings and/or contribute to the preparation of manuscripts and patent applications. Function optimally as a member of one or more project teams.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- BS with 2+ years of experience in biopharmaceutical Industry/Academic lab.
- Good communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in an interdisciplinary fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of cellular function, immunology, cryopreservation.
- Experience with biophysical and biochemical characterization of cells and viruses, and analytical methods' development.
- Experience or knowledge in viability measurement, apoptotic markers, expansion potential measurement.
- Knowledge of cell biology, protein structure.
- Understanding of laboratory and aseptic techniques.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Master's degree
- Biopharmaceutical Industry/Academic lab experience.
- Strong knowledge of protein science and cell biology.
- Hands-on experience with cell therapy.
