      This position is part of the Research and Development Department located in Madison, WI and will be onsite. At Aldevron, we combine best-in-class products and service with the ideal operating environment to lay the groundwork for vital new discoveries worldwide. You will be a part of the Analytical Method Development team and report to the Senior Scientist responsible for analytical method development.

      In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

      • Design, develop, optimize and qualify analytical methods for characterization and release of protein products
      • Work closely with scientific staff to execute laboratory experiments in support of development and qualification of biochemical assays
      • Analyze and interpret analytical data, proactively troubleshoot and investigate issues arising during method development and qualification
      • Write/review method development and qualification summary reports, SOPs and forms

      The essential requirements of the job include:

      • BS degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related discipline with 1+ years of experience. Or MS degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related discipline with 0+ years of experience.
      • Hands on experience with chromatography and/or capillary electrophoresis methods
      • Hands on experience with chromatography/CE data systems such as Empower, OpenLab, 32 Karat
      • Familiarity with one/more techniques such as ELISA, enzymatic activity assay, electrophoresis techniques, qPCR
      • Skilled in experimental design, analysis and interpretation of analytical data

      It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

      • Working with large molecules such as proteins, RNA, or DNA
      • cGMP and understanding of other pharmaceutical regulations
      • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite
