Job Description

- Work as part of a Deal Team over the lifecycle of a deal to support and drive documentation, execution, establishment, settlement and in-life maintenance processes.
- Co-ordinate pitch and RFP preparation which will include formulating messaging, suggesting/agreeing content with deal team members, sourcing information, preparing slides, reviewing content and managing stakeholders.
- Develop structuring skills through review of term sheets and documentation in conjunction with senior executives.
- Prepare pricing updates and market updates to support ongoing client marketing efforts.
- Prepare credit submissions and reviews for new and existing clients for new and existing transactions, including bilateral and syndicated warehouse transactions and public term issuance.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and clients as required.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of rating agency criteria, legal documentation and regulatory capital requirements.
- Assist in pipeline identification and reporting, league table reporting and maintain databases.
- Actively contribute to the team to ensure a positive team culture and support a safe and diverse workplace for all team members, customers and visitors.

Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors, and provides a full range of capital raising, transactional and risk management products and services. Our purpose is to: Combine global connectivity and capability to build a better Australia. IB&M also performs an important internal role for the Group by providing global markets, trade finance, corporate and institutional lending to other CBA business units that allows them to capture opportunities with business and retail customers.
Securitisation Capital Structuring (“SCS”) provides market leading securitisation funding, structuring, insights and distribution capability, targeting clients primarily across the bank and non-bank financial institutions sectors.
Capital Structuring is made up of customer centric product specialists who partner with relationship bankers to originate, structure, execute and monitor lending & leasing facilities. We provide the core end-to-end product and pricing infrastructure supported by a disciplined approach to governance that enables us to manage financial and non-financial portfolio risks.
The Capital Structuring team includes Structured Asset Finance, Securitisation, Credit Portfolio Management Private Equity & Structured Finance, Global Lending Product & Transformation and Line 1 Operational Risk & Control.
Do work that matters
You will work with colleagues in Securitisation Capital Structuring, Client Solutions, Global Markets and Risk Management to drive origination and manage execution of securitised debt markets transactions. The role provides exposure to clients, banks and investors, as well as an opportunity to understand the end-to-end origination and execution process across complex securitised products and markets.
This role will report into Director, SCS and will be a member of the Capital Structuring division within Institutional Banking and Markets.

This role will appeal to candidates with solid analytical, problem solving, communication, and project management skills. Candidates with institutional or investment banking, debt advisory, quantitative, legal or corporate finance backgrounds will be well regarded. Candidates must be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
Product knowledge is not a prerequisite and our experienced team will work with you to develop technical knowledge across the product suite.
