      Job summary

      Are you a senior psychiatrist (Consultant, Associate Specialist or equivalent) with a passion for mental health?

      At Dorset HealthCare we put our patients first and our mental health services across Dorset are growing. Join us to support our patients as a senior psychiatrist. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, committed to patient centred mental health care, has excellent communication skills and is a team player.

      As a senior psychiatrist you will provide expert clinical leadership, support the delivery of high-quality mental health services, and lead diagnosis assessments alongside providing excellent treatment to individuals with mental health conditions.

      These roles sit within our community mental health teams, mental health crisis services and inpatient wards, in both urban and rural settings across the county of Dorset.

      Dorset is a county in southwest England, which is known for its Jurassic coast, sandy beaches, thriving multinational urban centres in Poole and Bournemouth and growing universities including Bournemouth University and Health Sciences University - we have something for everyone!

      • General medical Qualification e.g., MBBS, or equivalent and hold a Licence to Practice.
      • MRCPsych or recognised equivalent, e.g., membership of a psychiatry college in another country.
