  This is a fulltime position located at the State Library in Baton Rouge, LA.
  
  No Civil Service test score is required in order to be considered for this vacancy. A master's degree in library science from a college or university accredited by the American Library Association followed by four years of experience in library services.The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here .Job Duties:
  This position manages and administers the Library Development Division that provides consulting, training, and support to 340 public libraries (67 public library systems) in the state. This involves extensive contact with libraries, library trustees, and other departments within the State Library, and with government officials. This position is highly visible and requires workload coordination, strategic planning, and political savvy.

  Work Schedule: This is a fulltime position; travel may be required.
