  Join Publix Technology as an Associate Tech Support Analyst (Computer Operator), where you will have the following responsibilities:
  
  Responsibilities:

  • Performs monitoring of the workload orchestration execution for all enterprise tasks.
  • Coordinates with Publix Technology Developers, Engineers, and other internal resources to process requests and perform operational services.
  • Responds to and resolves service issues through the ticketing system and escalations from other support groups using standardized processes and methodologies.
  • Assists in the research and coordination for permanent schedule modifications and updates the knowledge and standard operating procedures to support the business processing requirements.
  • Provides assistance to business area associates for scheduling requests, temporary schedule modifications, and resolving issues as required.
  • Monitors alerting tools and responds to system alerts/messages as required.
  • Ensures established security protocols and procedures are followed to maintain the integrity of the Data Centers and Publix’s sensitive corporate data.
  • Monitors the health and activity of the electrical and mechanical infrastructure located in the Data Centers.

  
  

  Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of IT experience or actively pursuing a degree in an IT related field.
  • Must be willing to work 3rd shift hours 00:00 – 08:00 (24/7/365 operation)

  Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science
  • 1+ years of computer operations experience
  • Previous experience as a computer operator working with both mainframe and open systems platforms.
  • Experience with automated batch scheduler running in a distributed environment.
  • Ability to monitor system activity and detect issues using:
    • MVS System Console
    • TSO/ISPF
    • SYSVIEW
    • JMR and SAR or similar tools
    • OMEGAMON
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Automated batch scheduling tools running on distributed environment (Stonebranch Universal Automation Center)
    • Media backup processes and associated applications (Commvault, Rubrik)
    • IBMs Job Control Language and CAs scripting language CLANG
    • Microsoft Office Suite of tools
  • Experience using system messaging and alerting tools (Unified Infrastructure Management)
  • Basic knowledge of IT Infrastructure
  • Basic knowledge of software lifecycle
  • Ability to track mainframe and cross platform job failures using incident and problem-management applications (ServiceNow)
  • Familiarity with Building Management Systems

  Year End Bonus

  To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
