The Associate Video Editor is responsible for creative decision-making while assembling raw video footage, creating graphics, and selecting music into a finished product that aligns with the project's creative vision. This role involves collaborating with other creative team members to ensure high-quality and visually compelling videos.

How you will make an impact

• Utilize a variety of video and photo production and editing software tools to bring creative concepts to life

• Edit footage for TV commercials and videos for social media channels and the Erickson Senior Living website that are compelling, engaging, understandable, informative, and current

• Review shooting script and raw materials to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity

• Select music and design motion graphics to ensure a consistent and appropriate look and feel and develop the overall creative vision of projects

• Lead creative reviews that include creative rationale and the ability to incorporate feedback from Sales and Marketing stakeholders to refine and enhance the final product

• Develop creative ideas and executions to enhance the storytelling and visual elements of the videos.

• Art-direct campus, apartment, architectural, and headshot video and photo shoots.

• Using creative decision-making, assist with initial image selection from a collection of raw photoshoot images.

• Perform post-production photography editorial tasks.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience starting at $50,000/ annually.

What you will need

• Bachelor’s degree required. BA in Film Production or a related field preferred.

• Minimum of two years’ experience editing video

• Proficient in video editing software including Premiere and After Effects

• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

• Video and/or photo shoot art direction experience a plus

• DAM/VAM/MAM experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and can learn other internal database programs

• Proficient on both the Macintosh and PC computing platforms
