      Position Focus:

      The Assistant Director, Creative Content & Video Strategy will work as part of the creative team to ensure the production of high-quality video and other visual content for Yale Athletics. Will create and collaborate on the video production strategy across all aspects of the athletic department. Assist in the creative brand vision and visual storytelling direction. Produce content for Yale Athletics and its athletic programs, including, but not limited to, highlight/interview packages, behind-the-scenes features, student-athlete profiles, long-form stories, other feature content, social media content, branded content, fan engagement videos, and other various departmental videos. Assist in the management of the department, and associated teams, social media accounts, including but not limited to, Instagram, Twitter (X), Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, etc. Perform other duties as assigned. Will report directly to the Assistant Athletic Director, Strategic Communications. Portfolios or website links demonstrating qualifications must be included with application.

      Essential Duties

      1. Responsible for assisting in the department’s graphic design strategy. 2. Responsible for all department’s social media initiatives. 3. Responsible for assisting the athletic department’s digital brand by leading, building, and maintaining the presence in the digital space. 4. Responsible for generating innovative ideas to increase web traffic. 5. Responsible for oversight and strategic direction of all video scoreboard in-game production. 6. Responsible for cultivating fan engagement on all social media sites including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.

      Required Education and Experience

      Bachelor’s Degree required.

      Required Skill/Ability 1:

      Proven knowledge of shooting, editing, and producing video through industry-standard software.

      Required Skill/Ability 2:

      Proven knowledge of shooting and editing photos through industry-standard software.

      Required Skill/Ability 3:

      Proficiency in content creation for social media strategies and implementation across platforms.

      Required Skill/Ability 4:

      Proficient with all Adobe Creative Suite offerings or similar software.

      Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:

      Demonstrated experience in college athletics, professional sports or any other sports environment in a content creator role.
