      Athonet - Test Software Engineer

      This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

      Job Description:

      Athonet provides a complete in-house software-based LTE/5G connectivity platform that runs in cloud or virtualized data centre environments and on ruggedized hardware. Our platform allows customers to break free from the restrictive, expensive, proprietary telco-centric architecture of legacy solutions and embrace the true potential of wireless. Private 5G is one of the fastest growing new segments of enterprise networking. The candidate will take part on the development and testing of the Athonet Dashboard.

      Athonet Dashboard make easy to manage small and medium private networks and to hide their complexity. Our intuitive interface allows for swift implementation of any necessary changes, ensuring you stay in control.

      Responsibilities:

      • Test and prove that the software meets major architectural requirements
      • Prove the scalability and performance of the product
      • Ensuring the quality of the system as a whole
      • Work with software developers and validation engineers
      • Document, develop, and automate tests for software validation
      • Document and detect bug issues by discussing their severity with other stakeholders
      • Prepare file defect reports and report test progress
      • Automate tests or cooperate to achieve platform test automation
      • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
      • Cooperate with the development team to state or validate the software requirements and write the documentation
      • Contribute to the debugging process
      • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
      • Writes and executes complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs, and creates solutions for issues with code and integration into software and firmware architecture.
      • Be a servant leader to the team to help achieve the goals.

      Education and Experience Required:

      • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
      • Typically 2-4 years experience
      • Fluent in Italian & English

      Knowledge and Skills:

      • Using software quality assurance tools and processes.
      • Software testing methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English.
      • Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals, and negotiate options at management levels.
      • Tools: Jenkins, Gitlab, AWS, Cypress, JMeters
      • Nice to have: Scrum master certification
