- Create, manage, and review customized workflows, screens, and security permissions with business stakeholders
- Support users of both Jira and Confluence
- Maintain users and groups
- Provide training for new and existing users
- Evaluate and implement new plugins, new versions, and related software
- Proactively look for ways to improve how we use Jira and Confluence
- Troubleshoot issues
- Prior experience working and training in an agile environment
- Proficiency with Atlassian tool suite
- Familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, Lean or other Agile methodologies
- Ability to create complex Jira workflows including project workflows, security schemes, screen schemes, Jira vocabularies, permission and notification schemes
- Ability to write custom JQL (Jira Query Language)
- Fluency in Confluence, including security, spaces, basic design, integration with Jira
- Ability to utilize Confluence as a presentation layer for reporting and dashboarding needs
- Integration experience with Jira and Confluence plugins and development, including integrating Jira projects with Confluence Pages and constructing Confluence pages
- High-level knowledge of Atlassian Dev Tools and a keen desire to gain deeper knowledge through self-paced learning, collaboration, and hands-on experience
- Ability to construct custom dashboards using various filter types in Jira
- Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with process implementation
- Excellent customer service and strong analytical skills, balanced with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- High School Diploma
Job Description
The Atlassian Tools Administrator is responsible for the support and administration of Jira and Confluence across O.C. Tanner's business.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the administration and governance of Jira and Confluence day-to-day activities, working closely with business stakeholders (e.g., engineering, project, and support) to design, update, and optimize the Atlassian toolsets. This would include workflows, screens, reporting, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities. This role is strongly positioned to help lead the business towards higher Jira and Confluence adoption and utilization.
