We look for ‘people who make the difference', a Westin legacy where associates deliver a consistent and memorable level of service at all times.Position Summary:Assist the Housekeeping Department by maintaining overall cleanliness of the hotel, guest rooms and assisting with guest needsOther duties as assigned by Manager or SupervisorEssential Functions:Clean guest rooms in accordance with established quality, performance and time standards to allow a sufficient quantity of vacant and clean guest rooms for saleClean occupied guest rooms in accordance with established quality, performance and time standards to allow a premium level of room cleanliness during a guest's stayClean and reset guest bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living and dining areas according to established standards of cleanliness and time required to completionOrganize and stock cleaning cart and linen closets on assigned floorsPerform cleaning tasks using hotel cleaning products and cleaning equipment to adhere to health and hotel standardsPerform other duties as requested, including but not limited to cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requestsAssist other housekeeping Associates in maintaining clean and organized work and common areasCommunicate with Associates, management, clients, owners and others in a courteous and professional manner, and in accordance with Westin Brand StandardsPositively and professionally respond to manager/supervisor requests to complete tasks assigned including but not limited to, cleaning guest rooms, re-cleaning rooms that do not meet established standards, cleaning common areas, completing checklists and other duties assignedEmbrace and apply The Westin and Marriott Culture and Core Values in all work activities and interactions by actively participating in trainings, learning opportunities and other related Associate programsPosition Qualifications:Competencies:Associates of Alterra Mountain Company are expected to demonstrate competencies in the following core areas:Demonstrates Personal Excellence:Is honest and principled; develops self and inspires others; exhibits confidence and courage; is resilient and optimisticBuilds and fosters relationships:Cooperates and collaborates; leverages outputs with others' input; works with a team; is a clear communicator; aligns their actions with the company's visionChampions the guest:Is oriented to quality service; creates emotional connections that drive guest loyalty; delivers a premium guest experienceDevelops successful strategies:Understands the company values; displays awareness of competition in the market place; demonstrates Intrawest and Westin knowledge and commitmentCreates the new and different:Prevents and solves problems; suggests and advocates process improvements; is systematic and rationalDrives results:Follows work plans and priorities; multi-tasks; is personally accountable for actionsEducation and CertificationsHigh School Education or GED preferredExperience and Skills1-2 years of hospitality Housekeeping experience preferredMust be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplacePhysical DemandsMost work tasks are performed indoors- temperature is moderate and controlled by environmental systemsMust be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to an average shift of 8 hoursMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
