      WHAT TO EXPECT:

      The Accessories Durability & Robustness Test Engineer will report to the Accessories Attributes Manager and will work embedded within the JLR Durability & Robustness Test Tech Team, focusing on delivering data from tests in support of design release activity or technology advancement, to ensure our vehicle and accessories products align to the identities of the JLR brand houses.

      The primary focus will be to prepare test facilities, test parts and vehicles, including instrumentation to measure a wide range of physical qualities, e.g. load, displacement, acceleration, pressure and temperature. Data will be collected during testing of the vehicles in a wide range of environments at a number of proving grounds.

      Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

      • Complete full preparation of test facility and/or test parts to enable effective and timely data delivery
      • Complete vehicle level durability and strength testing
      • To collate, manipulate and interpret data which will be used to inform engineering decisions
      • Continuous development of the role including use of AGILE tools.
      • Act as Accessories Test Engineering representative within D&R environment

      WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

      Knowledge, skills and Experience

      • Technical expertise and experience of Durability & Robustness test facilities and test part preparation
      • Experienced with data acquisition and control systems
      • Data analysis and reporting of test data
      • Can demonstrate analytical and trouble shooting skills, including the utilisation of standard problem-solving tools
      • Ability to deliver effective and robust documentation (e.g. status reports, test reports, benchmarking & study documents)
      • Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements, Risk Assessment, COSHH and SDS
      • A full UK valid driving license with less than 6 penalty points, no disqualifications
      • Basic knowledge of engineering project management fundamentals
