We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audio Outsourcing Supervisor to join the Hearthstone sound team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all external sound designers, providing creative direction, training, and giving feedback on audio deliveries. This role requires close collaboration with our internal music team to implement all audio deliveries and provide constructive feedback. Additionally, you will work closely with our marketing team to deliver audio files needed for promotional content. When time permits, you will design high-quality sound effects.

Qualifications for this role include having game audio credits on several AAA titles as an Audio Lead and/or Supervisor, and experience designing sounds for fantasy games such as creatures, spells, and combat. Mastery of your DAW of choice (Reaper, Nuendo, or Protools preferred) and proficiency in using Unity, Unreal, or proprietary game tools are essential.

This role can be remote or in office Hybrid.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all external sound designers, providing creative direction, training and feedback on audio deliveries.
• Collaborate with the internal music team and implement all audio deliveries, provide constructive feedback.
• Work closely with our marketing team to deliver audio files needed for promotional content.
• Design high-quality sound effects when time permits.
• Work in close collaboration with the audio director and audio producer on timelines and project scope.
  

Qualifications:

• Game audio credits on several AAA titles as an Audio Lead and or Supervisor.
• Experience designing sounds for fantasy games (ex: creatures, spells, combat).
• Mastery of your DAW of choice (Reaper, Nuendo, or Protools preferred).
• Proficiency in using Unity, Unreal or proprietary game tools.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience coordinating sound effect recording sessions for source material.
• Strong understanding of technical audio theory and audio engineering concepts.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality audio content.
  

Pluses/ Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge and familiarity with Warcraft sound and universe.
• Actively plays Hearthstone.
• Experience developing games using Unity.
• Passion for playing and making videogames.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $116,800.00 - $216,000.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
