- Transporting, setting up, and operating media equipment and audio-visual support tools, including speakers, monitors, cameras, projectors, microphones, lighting, and equipment racks.
- Setting up and performing electrical wiring, programming, and basic construction according to layout diagrams and schedules.
- Developing good relationships with clients to keep production moving and to help Production or Event Managers.
- Running tests on videos, audio, and signals and troubleshooting any problems that arise.
- Meeting clients' standards by handling equipment malfunctions and executing a flawless event.
- Disassembling and removing audio-visual equipment, wiring, and support tools in a safe manner at the conclusion of the event
- Performing inventory management on equipment, wiring, and accessories, and providing reports to management on items that need to be purchased
- Conducting any cleaning, preventative maintenance, or repairs on audio-visual equipment.
- Generating expense reports for management.
- Provides walk-throughs to customers to assess the needs for the use of audio, video, and multi-media computer equipment including integrated equipment.
- Coordinate and facilitate audio-visual resources with external customers and media, including facilitating live-stream video, recordings, and news feeds.
- Support the various enterprise meeting planners to help design and establish cost estimates for the audio-visual needs for various events.
- Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Support Tasks - Schedule and setup VTC point-to-point and multi-point meetings, Configure connectivity in VTC bridge(s)Audio/Visual – Room control devices - VTC hardware & software (CODEC, bridge, etc.)
- The Audio-Visual Technician will be supporting, setting up & testing of Video/Web based Conferences (Webex/InterCall/Zoom)
- Work with vendors and internal teams to resolve audio visual related issues that affect equipment availability.
- Schedule and staff audio/visual run-throughs and reviews with the client.
- Upon receiving audio-visual details for the event, provide a detailed event outline and inventory list to the Event Manager, confirming all pricing details.
- Schedule and maintain all video messages to be played on various televisions throughout the property.
- Site certification of all new and relocated video conference systems.
- An associate's or bachelor's degree in audio-visual technology or a related field.
- In-depth working knowledge of camera and lighting techniques.
- Strong working knowledge of audio-visual editing equipment and software.
- Excellent computer and troubleshooting skills.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and flexibility.
- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- The ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Physical fitness to transport and set up heavy equipment.
- Good hearing and eyesight.
- Experience reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and CAD drawings.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds, climb ladders, crawl under tables, this position can have physical demands
- Prior A/V experience
- Solid experience in commercial AV installations
- Familiar with the programming and configuration of systems and a firm understanding of gain structure, acoustic echo reference, feedback suppression
- Several years of experience in video editing

Audio Visual Manager will set up, operate, maintain, and repair sound, lighting, and video equipment, and infrastructure for use in live events, such as concerts, sports games, business conventions, meetings, webinars. They may also assist in the production of movies, TV programs, CDs, and DVDs.
To be successful as an Audio-Visual Manager, you should have experience transporting, assembling, operating, and repairing equipment used for multimedia production. A skilled Audio-Visual Manager is creative, flexible, and detail-oriented, with good communication and teamwork skills.
