What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct audits of franchisee sales data, operational procedures, and financial statements
- Review monthly royalty reports for accuracy and compliance
- Present audit findings and address follow-up communications
- Respond to inquiries related to royalty reporting and audits
- Perform ad hoc audits as required to ensure compliance with franchise agreements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Basic knowledge of accounting theory and principles
- Ability to document accurate information and maintain organized files
- Understanding of financial terminology and concepts, including cash flows and net income
- Strong communication skills, particularly in discussing audit findings via phone and email
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, including V-Lookup and Pivot Tables
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Auditing Standards (GAAS)
- Bachelor's Degree or international equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Experience conducting financial analysis
- Familiarity with generating reports and writing basic queries in software
