What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise audit engagements, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Prepare and review audit reports, providing detailed insights to clients
- Collaborate with clients in government and nonprofit sectors to address their unique needs
- Lead audit teams, providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff
- Manage client relationships, fostering strong partnerships and trust
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of audit experience in public accounting
- Knowledge of single audits and relevant compliance requirements
- Experience working with clients in government, government contractors, and nonprofit sectors
- Strong analytical and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Additional certifications such as CPA or CIA
- Familiarity with accounting software and audit tools
- Proven track record of successful audit project management
- Experience in training and developing junior staff members
