What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist with daily administrative activities within the Coordination of Benefits and Data Mining departments
- Communicate directly with Medicare, insurance companies, providers, and employer groups to obtain member eligibility details
- Accurately enter member, group, and claim information into various tools and systems
- Ensure confidentiality and security of all data, adhering to HIPAA laws and requirements
- Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards as set by management
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) or equivalent education
- Minimum of 1 year of prior experience, including entry-level candidates
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail in documentation and information review
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- At least 1 year of experience with the employer is recommended for internal candidates
- Prior experience in an administrative support function and/or office environment
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude
- Strong emotional intelligence to understand and respond to customer needs
- Ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment
