Job Description
- Req#: 44311
- Plan or assist in planning, theory, and scope of audits of business license, business property, and trustee taxes.
- Schedules appointments to audit books and records of new and existing businesses holding one or multiple licenses. Such records may include, but are not limited to, bookkeeping records, federal tax returns, general ledgers, profit & loss statements, and trial balances.
- Analyze financial documents, records, working papers, and financial information, such as depreciation and loss on office equipment and machinery dispositions.
- Obtain, analyze, and appraise evidentiary data and professionally perform audits following approved guidelines.
- Conduct fieldwork and prepare working papers detailing the findings of the examination.
- The candidate must communicate effectively, work in a team environment, and maintain working relationships with various internal divisions to facilitate assigned tasks.
- Individual assignments will be determined by the supervisor based on the current workloads and department needs.
