What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform the financial clearance process by interviewing patients and collecting necessary information for pre-registration
- Verify insurance eligibility and educate patients on coverage issues
- Initiate treatment authorization requests and manage referrals per payor guidelines
- Follow up on prior authorization denials and process appeals when necessary
- Educate patients on co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles at the point of service

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Four or more years of experience in revenue cycle, insurance verification/eligibility, or related areas in a healthcare setting
- Experience with practice management software, hospital billing software, or electronic health record software
- Knowledge of insurance terminology, plan types, and approval processes
- Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office 365

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with referrals and/or prior authorization processes
- Familiarity with Epic software
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation review
