      The Automation Project Leader will report to the Manager of Electrical and Automation Engineering.
      We have different positions currently open for our Vernon Hills IL (north suburb of Chicago), Greater Minneapolis area, Winsted, but the position may be located within the U.S.
      You will be required to travel to client sites in U.S and Canada 35% of your time for start up/commissioning required.

      What you will do

      • Provide support during pre-project and sales phases.
      • Interface with account managers and customers to assess the customer requirements and thereby create cost effective quotations.
      • Overall project responsible for automation
      • Coordinate work with the automation engineers assigned to the project.
      • Develop and track project program & engineering resource requirements including design, installation, and commissioning tasks.
      • Be responsible to compile and review all the technical documentation to be included on the project documentation.
      • Perform hardware & software specification, as well as, define the system architecture (automation / information /electrical), conceptual design of control panels and MCC panels with close cooperation with electrical/automation engineers.
      • Be responsible to use the electrical standards, for panels and site installation, in cooperation with specialized suppliers, as well as, UL508A, Code of Practice, Client Electrical Standards, and any other regulatory requirements.
      • Ensure all projects are delivered in a timely manner, in line with the project plan, the budget and cost constraints while following the Tetra Pak quality system.
      • Act as senior automation engineer, doing hands on work – PLC programming, HW design, FAT testing, MES development and Recipe Management - during the project where it is required.
      • Build and maintain a good customer relation and work proactively with quick analysis, decisions and actions.
      • Manage sub-contractors and ensure compliance with all relevant Tetra Pak standards, in the design, installation and commissioning of automation systems.
      • Report to the Project Manager for project & program related tasks including budget control, progress reports & forecasting.
      • Participate in design reviews and safety risk assessments.
      • Conduct automation training for customer personnel on the installed systems.

      We believe you have

      • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Automation Engineering or related technical field.
      • 5 years of experience deploying automation systems in processing areas
      • Good knowledge in PLC (Rockwell), SCADAs (Rockwell) programming and commissioning.
      • Project management skills
      • Good knowledge in MES System, Virtualization, Industrial Network integration.
      • Working knowledge of ISA-S88 and S95 preferred
      • Good level of design skills and troubleshooting capability of electrical (up to 600 VAC) and pneumatic systems required.
      • Strong technical skills and leadership, capacity to motivate others.
      • Strong, positive oral & written communication skills both internally & with customers required.

      Pay Equity

      Tetra Pak provides the following compensation range that in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
      Ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is defined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

      This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. The estimate displayed is just one component of Tetra Pak's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include annual performance bonus, competitive benefits, and work-related allowances.
      Annual Base Salary Range (ABS): $97,000.00 – 135,000.00
      Short-term Incentive/Bonus (Variable Pay): Eligible to performance incentive of 10% of ABS
