      Job Title: Automation Project Manager


      Job Description

      Join the pioneering Controls Deployment Team as the North American deployment lead, establishing and scaling controls systems implementation across the NA network. This role is instrumental in preparing for large-scale 2026 deployments, focusing on vendor relationships, training programs, and operational excellence frameworks. The position is based in Seattle, WA, and requires travel within the EU in 2025 for training, with an estimated 20% travel for North American deployments in 2026. The role is set for a duration of 12 months with potential for extension and possibly transitioning into a permanent role.

      Responsibilities

      • Lead the establishment of the Controls team's presence in North America, creating foundational processes and stakeholder relationships.
      • Develop and implement vendor training programs and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) procedures.
      • Drive technical knowledge transfer from EU deployments to NA operations.
      • Create and maintain deployment strategies for 90 ADTA implementations in 2026.
      • Manage key stakeholder relationships across Operations, RME, and vendor partners.
      • Build and maintain project schedules, risk management plans, and quality metrics.
      • Pioneer new approaches to automation deployment and support.
      • Achieve 2026 deployment schedule targets.
      • Reduce High-Impact Events compared to baseline.
      • Improve technical quality metrics to a target of 99%.
      • Successfully establish vendor training and support programs.
      • Develop a sustainable NA deployment framework.

      Essential Skills

      • 7 years of experience in industrial automation deployment and project management.
      • Strong background in controls systems and automated material handling equipment.
      • Proven track record of leading large-scale technical implementations.
      • Experience developing technical training programs and documentation.
      • Excellence in stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership.
      • Strong problem-solving abilities and pioneering mindset.
      • Ability to travel internationally, primarily to the EU for extended periods in 2025.
      • Experience in brownfield, commissioning, automation engineering, and program management.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Experience scaling technical operations from zero to full deployment.
      • Background in vendor management and training program development.
      • Knowledge of material handling systems and sortation technologies.
      • Experience with remote support models and operational handover.
      • PMP or similar project management certification.

      Work Environment

      The role involves heavy travel to Europe in 2025 for training and buildout activities. In 2026, the focus will shift to deployment across North America. The position offers a unique opportunity to create and innovate within a new team, fostering creativity and strategic growth.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $68.00 - $71.00/hr.
