      JOB MISSION:
      Assist Innovation Center team members in developing next generation industrial processes and optimizing existing operational processes to rapidly achieve production targets across safety, quality, productivity, and cost. Partner to ensure next generation technology platforms and equipment is validated for suitability on the production floor to enable the accelerated scale-up of productivity.

      MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
      • Setup and operation of high-level automation, robotics, material movement, etc.
      • Assist with running Design of Experiments on pre-production materials to understand process and performance characteristics.
      • Provide feedback to engineers on issues or opportunities for improvement.
      • Learn to operate custom software and PLC programs.
      • Experience with systems level electronics, cabling, and reading cabling diagrams.
      • Perform routine and preventive mechanical duties on machinery and equipment. Read and apply manuals, schematics, and instructions.
      • Develop a successful workflow, adapt to changing conditions and document procedures that increase safety, quality, and productivity.
      • Utilize a broad range of hand and power tools including but not limited to screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, power drills, saws, drill presses, 3D printer, laser cutter.

      REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
      • Two-year technical college education in electronics, robotics, or related field or equivalent.
      • 5-8 year of broad related work experience utilizing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and robotic technologies. Fully cross trained on all manufacturing machinery and equipment.
      • Knowledge in PLC programming / troubleshooting
      • Ability to lift maximum 50 lbs. occasionally (with assistance if necessary); kneel or squat frequently; stand for extended periods of time; climb ladders occasionally; climb and descend stairs frequently (depending on location)
      • Willingness to travel locally (ME, NH, MA) to assist in factory installations

      Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
