Job Description

- Strong Base Salary
- Commission: Based on the amount of warranty dollars paid by the factory
- Earning Potential: $75,000 to $120,000
- Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM
- Processing all warranty paperwork to ensure proper documentation and verifying criteria required by the factory or distributor for payment, correcting any errors before submitting it to the manufacturer.
- Keeping abreast of all factory recalls and announcements making sure all returned claims are addressed and corrected to manufacturer requirements at a timely manner.
- Arranging for parts to be shipped to the factory or distributor and resubmitting all rejected claims promptly.
- Assisting with body shop warranty claims and following up on outstanding claims.
- Reconciling all warranty receivables and working with the accounting department to obtain payments.
- Keeping track of all warranty parts by noting the repair order number, date of replacement and date on which part may be disposed of, updating all dealership staff involved.
- Maintaining all service and customer records as required by the warrantor job requirements and review open warranty repair orders providing guidance to the team.
- Respond promptly and directly with appropriate dealership staff with any updates to corrections needed to the repair orders.
- Warranty administrators should have experience with automotive parts (identification, inspection, classification of component groups, etc.)
- At least one year of experience in a franchised automotive dealership.
- Automotive car knowledge.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- The ability to create and maintain excellent customer satisfaction.
- Must be able to ensure that all required documents and approval requests are submitted to the manufacturer in a timely and compliant manner.

- Reliable and presentable in business attire.

Automotive Warranty AdministratorThe Automotive Warranty Administrator plays a vital role in ensuring the dealership receives payment for warranty work by preparing, submitting, and following up on claims, while also identifying and correcting any issues.
As with all dealership positions, high ethical standards and best practices are essential. The Warranty Administrator is expected to maintain accuracy, improve performance, and contribute to the dealership’s success on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
