- Trouble shooting problems and changing out consumables as needed.
- Maintaining housekeeping and helping to control consumable cost and scrap.
- Removing all flux from produced parts.
- Filling flux hoppers.
- Operator-level maintenance of machinery.
- Communication up and down the line to ensure quality and completeness.
- Operating the auto welder machine while making constant adjustments.
- Being flexible to work any schedule needed.
- Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Buildings Group Texas will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).
- Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
- Experience with reading drawings, prints, and weld processes.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent
- Crane and forklift certifications.
- Prior experience running an auto welder.
- Weld certification.
- Possess basic understanding of metal building system fabrication
