      Job Description

      You have the direct responsibility to carry out Nursing duties which will include monitoring patients in a timely manner, ensuring triaged is performed and that results are communicated with the Professional nurse as well as conducting vitals on all patients prior to referring to the professional nurse.

      More of your responsibilities will include:

      • Providing wound care and assisting the nurses and doctors with clinical procedures
      • Providing wellness related duties, presenting at mine sites as per roster and conducting wellness inductions
      • Ensuring wellness investigations such as HCT, Weight, blood is captured correctly and that wellness assets are managed correctly as per the procedures
      • Carrying out occupational related duties will include vision, audio, spirometry and urine tests as well as allocating triage clients correctly
      • Assisting with check in of clients at reception, ensuring all activities are captured correctly on the system and ensuring that you track and monitor DOTS programme
      • Managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, understand and deliver on their operational needs, and identify and resolve issues timeously
      • Contribute to the broader business by working with other leaders and teams in such a way that it optimises the overall business results

      Qualifications

      • Registered with SANC as Assistant Nurse
      • Certified in Audiometry and Eye testing
      • Certificate as Lung function operator
      • AA plc Safety & Risk Management: A2
      • Valid Driver’s License
      • Knowledge of ARV will be an advantage
      • Knowledge of TB management will be an advantage

      Experience

      • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mining

      Additional Information

      • Knowledge of nursing processes, procedures, and techniques
      • Understanding of safety management, behavioural safety and risk management framework, procedures, and systems
      • Good understanding of the related health care policies and procedures
      • Abreast of current medical standards and trend
