      Life Enrichment Director-SNF

      Location: The Pearl at Kruse Way 4550 Carmen Dr, Lake Oswego, OR 97035

      Full Time

      The primary responsibility of this position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Life Enrichment/Activity Department to ensure that an ongoing activities programing is designed to meet the interests and wellbeing of each resident.

      · Develop and distribute a monthly activities calendar and newsletter for residents and family members

      · Coordinate and schedule outside vendors and presenters

      · Participate in community event planning with the marketing staff

      · Prepare person centered Activities as a description for the monthly calendar

      · Create and update residents service plan preferences in their electronic health record

      · Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, calm, and joy

      · Make routine visits to residents

      · Plan, prepare and operate under the Activities budget

      · Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies

      · Attend quarterly LED meetings

      · Complete on-going training as assigned

      · Complete other duties as assigned

      Education

      · High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education preferred

      · Must have a minimum of two years’ experience in a social or recreation program or similar experience working in a healthcare setting

      · Food Handlers Card required upon hire

      Experience

      · Knowledge and experience caring for and interacting with an elder population

      · Knowledge of computers, data entry/retrieval, output, etc.

      · Maintain confidentiality of all resident care in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

      · Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, or regulatory agencies.

      · Able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the public

      · Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, calm, and joy

      · Must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination

      · Is subject to injury from falls, burns from equipment, odors, etc., throughout the workday, as well as to reactions from dust, disinfectants, tobacco smoke, and other air contaminants.

      · Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including TB, COVID-19 and the HIV and Hepatitis B viruses.

      · May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals.
