      As an Aviation Officer (Bargaining Unit, Local Union No. 25), you are security-minded and vigilant in support of Massport’s top goal, safety & security. You possess strong communication skills, including verbal and written abilities, and can make quick decisions to solve problems. Your collaboration with team members, State Police, and Massport Operations is essential, requiring adaptability and a strong sense of professionalism and integrity.

      What you will do:

      • Monitor and check individuals and vehicles for valid Massport security badges and identification, screening vehicles and individuals to prevent unauthorized access and the entry of prohibited items.
      • Ensure compliance with Massport and TSA regulations, completing violation forms and attending hearings.
      • Report major violations and threats to public safety, taking immediate action and contacting appropriate parties.

      • Associate’s degree or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice (please see Eligibility Path 1 or 2 in detailed job description)
      • Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and demonstrate basic oral, written, mathematical, and manual skills including the ability to operate computer and machinery.
      • 2+ years of police/security, military experience or law enforcement experience (as described in detailed job description)
