      Job Description

      What You'll Be Doing:
      Join the Lockheed Martin AFS team as an in-country F-16 Avionics Intermediate Shop Field Service Technician. This position is located at Al Dhafra Air Base United Arab Emirates. Our team is responsible for providing on-site maintenance, operation and training of Integrated Automated Test Equipment (IATE) for the United Arab Emirates Air Force. The objective of the the Field Service Technician is to provide day to day operations of IATE stations to test, troubleshoot and repair F-16 Avionics Line Replaceable Units,(LRUs). The other objective is to test, diagnose, calibrate and repair the IATE stations themselves.

      Desired skills

      * Strong communication skills, written and spoken. Possess the ability to train others with sound safe maintenance practices.

      * Experience in working with Foreign Military customer.

      * Familiarity with Block 60 F-16 avionics system LRUs.

      * Familiarity with Export Controlled Data.

      * Military equivalent 7 level IATE certification. *Basic soldering knowledge.

      * The ability to utilize automated computer based test programs to test and diagnose F-16 avionics Line Replaceable Units.

      * The ability to interpret Tech Order manuals, (TOs), and illustrated parts breakdown manuals, (IPBs), to facilitate circuit card assembly and component level removal and replacement.

      Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.
