Structured hybrid role:
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. The individual in this role performs a series of key activities within the Capital Planning Structuring & Stress Testing Centre of Excellence within the Capital and Leverage Management Transaction Cycle. This includes the delivery of capital planning & stress testing services to Service Recipients with regulatory capital requirements within the Barclays Group including UK regulated entities (Barclays PLC, Barclays Bank UK PLC, Barclays Bank PLC and Barclays Capital Securities Ltd.) and non-UK regulated entities (US Intermediate Holding Company and Barclays Bank Ireland).What will you be doing?
The individual in this role will perform a series of key activities within the Capital Planning & Stress Testing Centre of Excellence to deliver the following services to Service Recipients:• Supporting the capital management of key entities by preparing and reviewing capital plans for Bplc, BBplc and BBUK in an effective and efficient manner, with strong controls.
• Supporting key capital forecasting activities, e.g. outlooks, MTP, HLS, STP across legal entities, through producing and reviewing capital forecasts and scenario analysis
• Assist with key activities and analyses for Stress Testing exercises, including BoE Stress Test, Internal Stress Test, Climate Stress Test and Reverse Stress Test.
• Provide insights on capital forecasts by carrying out key analytical reviews and preparing materials for Senior Management.
• Optimising the work across the Capital Planning Structuring and Stress Testing Centre of excellence to identify and implement opportunities
• Preparing and running the PRA111, Capital + and MREL + regulatory reporting process across these three entities.
• Collaborate with Treasury technology and UAT testing of system changes on a timely basis.
• Build and maintain networks within Treasury, Finance teams and Capital Risk across offices and geographies.
Role may include contribution to the following key Treasury deliverables to address requirements of internal (senior management decision support) and external stakeholders:
• Manage production of capital plan across Legal entities for various scenarios.
• Provide analyses on capital forecasts and produce key materials for senior management and external stakeholders.
• Work with Treasury, Finance and Regulatory Relations on PRA submissions across Legal entities.
• Monitor adherence to Treasury and Capital Risk Standards and Procedures, across legal entities
• Adhoc analysis including preparation of Outlook related papers (WFR committee) and other CALM deliverables as required
What we’re looking for:
• Affinity to work with numbers and strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Finance related University Degree or equivalent qualification (e.g. ACA, CIMA)
• Some experience working in a top-tier financial institution
• Strong communication skillsSkills that will help you in the role:
• Capital Management experience including understanding of key capital ratios, RWA and leverage exposure measures, and the adjustments from shareholder equity to arrive at capital measures.
• Knowledge of banking product base
• Good presentation skills both written and verbal
