Build and execute the content strategy with an emphasis on brand storytelling that demonstrates the organization's strategic priorities and key initiatives in collaboration with global/regional partners.

Develop original story-driven content that aligns with brand, audience and fundraising objectives , including social videos to build awareness, engagement, and brand “fans.”

Transform sophisticated in-depth materials and synthesize complex topics into clear, digestible content.

Collaborate with communications and mass marketing colleagues, subject matter experts, and other key business partners to create impactful storytelling and multi-use assets.

Lead content collection, production, and overall creative development processes for long and short form video and still photography needs, harnessing brand design, copy, art, and digital technology.

Develop and execute content for corporate partners and special events , as needed.

Utilize data and analytics to define metrics and inform the development and evolution of content strategy.

Lead and review the work of the creative teams for all web, print, and digital marketing collateral.

Manage a cross-functional team of graphic designers, copywriters, social-media experts, photographers/videographers, and project managers in the strategic development of content plans and deliverables.

Prioritize work and resources across engagements, based on short- and long-term needs, and build key partnerships with external agencies, freelancers, and production studios.

Conduct brainstorming sessions with creative team, maintaining strategic thinking to develop innovative and actionable initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner.

Review and approve art and copy developed by the team, ensuring that deliverables address marketing goals and challenges effectively.

Produce fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling digital experiences for sophisticated audiences and emotional storytelling for targeted to consumer audiences.

Responsible for ensuring brand guidelines, visual identity and brand voice are consistently met throughout content production and guide internal partners in the production of materials.

Drive philosophy and champion value of content marketing companywide.

BS/BA in advertising, fine art, design or relevant field.

10 plus years of hands-on experience in creative process, marketing, graphic design and brand development.

Experience in creating integrated content across all marketing channels: digital, social media, paid, media, mobile, offline and print.

Proven ability to successfully leading a team of diverse, talented creatives.

Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally if needed. (Possible 10%)

The AVP, Content Creation & Strategy is a brand-new role within the Global Marketing and Strategy team. The AVP reports to the Senior Vice President, Global Marketing and Strategy, is responsible for a creative team, and works closely with the global development and program teams.
The core responsibility of AVP, Content Creation & Strategy , is to create smart content strategies that drive breakthrough brand storytelling. An ideal candidate understands the unique power of a strong story grounded in brand insight, and the valuable role they can play as a conduit between strategic marketing and purposeful storytelling.
