What will you be doing?
• On behalf of a global financial services organization, analyze and manage risk management issues by identifying, measuring, and making decisions.
• Specifically produce management information reports related to US Credit Portfolio to facilitate decision making and regulatory exams and reviews.
• Ensure that necessary regional and Barclays group level governance is applied as required so that management information produced is accurate.
• Facilitate the making of risk decisions for the Combined US Operations (CUSO) of Barclays.
• Monitor and manage regional (CUSO) and Barclays Group level Mandate & Scale portfolio limits.
• Support the Barclays Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) business as part of its Risk Management Unit (RMU) including the periodic reviews by Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) and Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), as well as internal audits.
• Assist in establishing the regional (CUSO) Credit Risk Appetite for the Intermediate Holding Company (IHC) particularly with regard to counterparty credit risk appetite and interlock with the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) process and results.
• Raise the level of technical knowledge in the team by sharing experience and organizing specialized trainings for colleagues.
• Mentor junior colleagues.What we’re looking for:
Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Financial Risk Management or a related field and at least two (2) years of experience as a Model Control Office Analyst or related occupation. Must have at least two (2) years of employment experience with each of the following required skills: Evaluating and monitoring risk exposures, quantifying appropriate level of risk including portfolio mandate and scale and single-name obligor limits using financial risk modeling; Performing risk stress testing and risk appetite analysis using financial programming; Evaluating and monitoring risk exposures, quantifying appropriate level of risk, and portfolio limit management using counterparty credit risk analysis for cleared derivatives, securities financing transactions and prime brokerage; Ensuring compliance with CFTC and Clearing House requirements including application of Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) Risk Management Program Framework (RMPF) per CFTC Regulation 1.11; Oversight of, reporting and periodic reporting of collateral composition to evidence appropriate levels of margining and risk coverage of respective portfolios; Using financial derivative pricing to assess impact of price movements on risk levels, risk stress testing; Managing Central Clearing Counterparty (CCP) due diligence reviews to maintain membership, with particular focus on counterparty credit risk component; and coordinating regulatory report submissions and responses to surveys related US credit portfolio risk, by leveraging knowledge of in-house systems, operating model, and specific business line activity and associated risks.

You will be working at our American Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the façade of the building.
