      Job Overview:

      Reporting to the VP, Compensation this role within Human Capital will operate in a matrix environment providing strategic and operational support to business unit leadership while supporting Human Capital initiatives. The Incentive Compensation function works to centralize Incentive Compensation Plan (ICP) Design and Governance under the Incentive Compensation Committee (ICC), sales incentive reporting and metrics as well as sales communication and plan documentation to LPL’s salesforce. The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams is necessary, as is sales compensation experience. Preferred are candidates with financial services industry experience. Sales incentive plans are a critical process, which drives the engagement, motivation, and strategy of LPL is rapidly growing sales teams. As the AVP, Incentive Compensation, you will own the execution, and continuous improvement of our Incentive Compensation Program. We approach our work by considering the big picture, utilizing our expertise and savvy data management to optimize our workflows to increase efficiencies.

      Responsibilities:

      • Partner with multiple sales organizations to develop or refine sales incentive plans that are in alignment with corporate goals while incentivizing new store sales, same store sales, and revenue growth

      • Research effectiveness of current sales compensation metrics and review for potential areas of improvement

      • Research and benchmark market data for sales compensation programs to evaluate the competitiveness of sales compensation plans and Incentive Compensation Targets

      • Oversee the incentive sales programs including separation of duties (e.g.; design, incentive payment calculations, audit, reporting, administration, etc.)

      • Oversee the annual benchmark process for incentive eligible roles to ensure LPL maintains competitive pay practices

      • Partner with internal risk department to evaluate and report on any potential risks with LPL’s sales incentive plans.

      • Analyze current sales operational processes to recommend improvements for efficiencies and/or centralization.

      • Ensure participation in annual survey submissions, including identifying necessary surveys

      • Consult with Human Capital partners and Business Leaders on competitive pay practices

      • Model compensation data, develop and review reports and key metrics to support our pay for performance culture

      • Responsible for training and communicating with employees and managers on LPL’s compensation philosophy and practices

      • Develop and review effective and clear communications regarding compensation programs and processes

      • Ensure operational oversight of incentive sales programs including separation of duties (e.g.; design, incentive payment calculations, audit, reporting, administration, etc.)

      • Lead the development of quarterly presentation materials for the Incentive Compensation Committee, which includes LPL executive management

      • Manage the Incentive Compensation guiding principles and philosophy and their application to incentive eligible role structures.

      • Lead special projects such as process improvements, data analysis/compilation, presentations, report building, etc.

      Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s Degree required

      • 8+ years of business experience with preferably 3+ years of sales compensation experience

      • Excellent MS Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, complex formulas)

      • Solid understanding and experience with Workday

      Pay Range:

      $104,320-$156,480/year


      Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
