Assist in the development and execution of a comprehensive infrastructure strategy that aligns with company objectives and adapts to ongoing technology advancements.
Design and execute on delivering a secure, high-availability infrastructure systems , including end-point computing, storage and computing resources, ensuring performance excellence, high service availability, data integrity, and a positive user experience.
Execute operational excellence plans through automation, process improvement, and the implementation of best practices across all infrastructure domains.
Manage infrastructure hardware and software provisioning, maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle processes.
Help uphold infrastructure policies, standards, and protocols in line with organizational objectives and compliance mandates.
Facilitate regular review meetings for Incident and Change Management to assess performance, identify process enhancements, and ensure compliance with established SLAs and KPIs.
Drive the adoption of automation and tool integration within the ITSM framework to improve process efficiency and accuracy across Incident, Change, and Service Request management.
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of ITSM processes, using data to drive process improvements and to brief senior management on the health of IT services.
Participate in steering operational excellence, focusing on enhancing system performance, reliability, and scalability, with due diligence towards security and compliance.
Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning to mitigate downtime and expedite recovery from disruptions.
Lead and Manage the IT infrastructure server teams, fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement, and facilitating technical and career development.
Assist with infrastructure project prioritization and portfolio management, ensuring timely and effective implementation of projects.
Keep updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential benefits for the company.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure with a clear track record of supporting leadership roles in complex, diverse environments.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team of IT professionals, ensuring effective collaboration and skill development.
Experience in task delegation, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution within a team environment
Strong experience in systems administration within Unix , Linux and Windows Server ecosystems.
Solid understanding of deploying, optimizing , and managing web applications with high availability; experience with WebSphere and seamless integration with various server platforms.
Technical acumen in managing infrastructure elements like IBM Power Systems, x86 servers, and virtualization solutions such as VMware ESXi and Nutanix.
Proficiency in supporting HCI technology implementations, particularly with Nutanix platforms, and a capacity to scale such environments effectively.
Experience in supporting the management of virtualization technologies and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledgeable in assisting the administration of storage solutions (SAN, NAS) and storage protocols (iSCSI, NFS, SMB/CIFS).
Skilled in aiding system monitoring, performance tuning, and ensuring overall system health.
Demonstrated capability in supporting the management of infrastructure-focused projects with completed migrations off of out-of-support infrastructure components.
Involvement in developing and overseeing business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.
Excellent collaborative communication skills to effectively engage with technical teams and technology leadership.
Strong supportive leadership skills in assisting with infrastructure strategy and managing multi-disciplinary teams.
Proficiency in supporting budget management and vendor negotiations.
Assist in the development and enforcement of ITSM processes, ensuring efficient and effective Incident, Change Management, and Service Request workflows that align with ITIL best practices.
Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of process documentation, keeping procedures current and in line with evolving business needs and IT capabilities.
Facilitate regular review meetings for Incident and Change Management to assess performance, identify process enhancements, and ensure compliance with established SLAs and KPIs.
Coordinate with the IT operations team to streamline Service Request fulfillment processes, aiming for a seamless user experience and prompt service delivery.
Drive the adoption of automation and tool integration within the ITSM framework to improve process efficiency and accuracy across Incident, Change, and Service Request management.
Bachelor’s degree or commensurate industry experience.
Proven background in supporting middleware management, especially with IBM WebSphere.

About this Position
Primerica is seeking a technically adept and dynamic AVP of Infrastructure to support the VP of Infrastructure in managing the strategic and operational framework of the company’s compute, storage, and hyper-converged environments. The AVP will help ensure that the infrastructure is robust, secure, and flexible to meet the evolving demands of the business landscape.
The estimated salary range for this role: $155K - $175K
