Hybrid Working

• To assist the Finance Business Partners for financial internal reporting. Significant accountability to senior Payments ExFo level stakeholders directly supporting Payments CFO Senior Leadership, providing decision support and analytics for Payments Acquiring business.
• Driving a range of finance tasks which may include: management reporting, business performance and analysis, planning and outlook support, supporting Finance Business Partners, and consolidated reporting across Barclays businesses, etc. for Payments Acquiring business.
• Provide accurate and insightful input to assist the decision making process
• Support key businesses in delivering its financial commitments
• Support automation agenda thru BI tools like Tableau, Alteryx etc in collaboration with RAS teamWhat will you be doing?
• Delivery of key management reporting and MI processes for Payments business which includes month-end close, business performance reporting & analytics, Outlook and Essbase Management
• Review analytical review and related commentary for monthly actuals for P/L and Balance sheet metrics
• Analyse and communicate financial performance data to assist the Senior Finance Business Partner to provide Finance Partnering and analytics across Payments Finance to Payments CFO, Payments Exco and Central Finance functions
• Lead the Day to day management of the Essbase reporting system, critical tool for the Payments finance team with business performance reporting & analytics and Outlook information
• Manage overall development and reporting enhancements of Essbase including requirement analysis, testing and rollout for use through trainings, if any and access management
• Support transformation by delivery of Tableau self-serve dashboards and automation of manual processes & End-User Developed Applications (EUDAs) through tools like Alteryx, Python etc
• At the forefront of MI integration into the wider bank
• Provide insightful analysis around key business drivers
• Actively participate in deep dive reviews which impact the business and identify performance areas which would benefit from deep dive investigation
• Drive enhancement of the strategic management processes, specifically over key performance indicators (KPIs), reducing workload that does not contribute to effective decision making or robust planning
• Provide appropriate and timely guidance and feedback to businesses regarding KPIs
• Establish a strong control environment in the team and enable appropriate escalation
• Contribute to projects and longer-term programmes involving Essbase as data source
• Prepare Outlook / Forecasting related financial reporting and management information for use with a range of stakeholdersWhat we’re looking for:
• Business knowledge:
o Financial planning & analysis or financial control experience preferable for both Group and in business
o Good understanding of financial accountancy and analytics
o Commercial knowledge of banking industry
o Appreciation of current / future changes in the of Structural Reform
• Functional knowledge:
o Qualified accountant / equivalent
o Strong Analytical and communication skills
o Exceptional MI skills, including experience with Essbase / Hyperion / SAP
o Be able to interpret financial requirements into MI solutions
o Very strong attention to detail, whilst maintain sight of the broader commercial context.
