      General Purpose:

      We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive AVP of Mission Operations & Employer Engagement to partner and support the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Mission. A key member of the senior Mission leadership team, this role requires a versatile individual with strong leadership, operational, and project management capabilities.

      Essential Functions:

      Project Management:

      • Oversee and initiate Mission projects as assigned by EVP ensuring all applicable stakeholders throughout Goodwill are engaged as appropriate.
      • Conduct project management work, including developing and convening teams, developing project plans using digital platforms (Monday.com, project manager etc.), tracking milestones, deliverables, and timelines, keeping applicable stakeholders informed of progress.
      • In partnership with internal business partners, track and ensure follow-up with external stakeholders (including employer partners, sister agencies, community based organizations, oversight agencies, potential funders, legislative/advocacy contacts, vendors, etc.)

      New Programming and Opportunities:

      Actively participate in the development of new programming; drive Mission ownership of responses to public and private funding opportunities, including grants, new contract opportunities and related.

      Employer Engagement:

      • Drive cross-divisional cultivation and engagement of new and existing employer partnerships for mission programs; provide centralized employer engagement strategies to cultivate and steward employer partnerships
      • Generate leads and support Job Development teams in assessing, referring and tracking employment placements
      • Utilize labor market and employer data to drive employer partner strategies; increase sector focused employer partnerships.
      • Develop and deepen employer partnerships to ensure assessment and training aligned with employer needs and demand.
      • In partnership with leadership and the marketing team, develop employer, participant and more broadly external facing engagement collateral
      • Develop participant and employer facing feedback mechanisms (i.e., satisfaction and other surveys, focus groups, advisory councils) to ensure training, programming, placement, and retention services are high quality and responsive to stakeholder needs
      • In partnership with leadership and the data and analytics’ team identify systems and common metrics to understand the impact of employer partnerships and potential areas for growth.
      • Work closely with leadership and program teams to identify employer driven training opportunities and deepen these relationships for quality improvements, internship, apprenticeship and placement
      • Create a community of practice for the Job Development teams to continuously build skills and collaboration
      • Opportunistically engage with other areas within Goodwill in the cultivation of employer partnerships (e.g. Donate Goods Retail)

      Operational Tasks:

      • Drive the development and Mission wide organizational policies and procedures.
      • Collaborate with VP of Compliance to develop and monitor QA practices across Mission.
      • In partnership with program leadership, and data develop systems for quality improvement and data informed programming; including ensuring fidelity of program implementation
      • Tackle operational challenges (e.g. troubleshooting facilities challenges, (escalating to the facilities group) maintaining and submitting site related compliance documentation).

      Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

      • • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Social Work/Non Profit Management or a related field, Master’s degree preferred
      • 5 plus years of working with wide array or employment and social service programs in a not for profit or public sector environment. Exposure to NY/NJ not for profit funders a plus.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Proven experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Planner (or other project management tools), Lists, Forms) and ability to quickly learn new software and tools.
      • Experience with program design, development and implementation, and problem solving.
      • Must have strong analytical, management and financial acumen.
      • In-depth knowledge of a variety of services and funding streams for services for economically disadvantaged and employment related services.
      • Ability to multi-task and adapt to wide variety of demands and standards from numerous funding sources.
      • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

      Preferred Skills:

      • Experience in a non-profit organization or understanding of non-profit operations.
      • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
