Job Description

- Develop a comprehensive strategy for Specialty Consulting client outcomes that aligns our Specialty strategy processes with our actions; collaborate with Prime stakeholders on the execution of this strategy including distribution and Go To Market
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with key client stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration, communication, and delivery of Specialty products and services, including relationships across the health plans and relevant department heads; provide and request routine feedback from these stakeholders
- Analyze market data to develop adoption strategies, define product objectives for effective marketing communications; translate strategy into requirements and define measurements of success
- Provide oversight to ensure effective implementations and service levels for Prime’s clients
- Lead upsell efforts and increase utilization strategy for Prime’s specialty products and programs
- Analyze and interpret Specialty market and industry trends and provide key plan contacts with market information and opportunities for service and product innovation; provide communications strategy to ensure a comprehensive plan for understanding the Specialty solution throughout the entire organization
- Manage department budget, staffing, performance and development, and consistently demonstrate Prime’s leadership expectations during interactions with direct reports, cross functional and external stakeholders
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS Diploma or GED required
- 12 years of related work experience, including PBM or managed care, and Specialty pharmacy, product development and implementation
- 8 years of experience in a management/leadership position
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
- Decisive with bias for action/execution, demonstrated experience in promoting clear accountability and focus towards achieving business objectives
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences, including clients
- Strong leadership and influencing skills with process owners; management experience in a matrix environment; successful track record in driving change to products and services to meet the business objectives
- Ability to establish rapport, build relationships, and collaborate effectively across departments and at all levels within the organization
- Ability to drive the identification of improvement opportunities, and demonstrated project management skills to lead the implementation of complex change initiatives, new products and programs
- Proven experience with vendor management, including negotiating contracts, prices, and resolving services
- Integrated health system, oncology management, and/or health plan experience
- Master’s Degree, MHA or MBA
- Medicare Part D and B experience
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Reports to Vice President in the Health Care Services department

The Assistant Vice President Specialty Client Engagement & Product is responsible for providing team leadership and strategic direction of specialty pharmacy solutions for clients. This position is responsible for developing and leading the delivery of key specialty strategies and products for clients, ensuring a clear understanding of client needs, and effectively identifying and managing execution of Prime/Client goals. This role is also responsible for development and delivery of successful and cost-effective product strategies, conducting assessments of market trends and customer needs, and leading product roadmaps.
