What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Implement security controls to protect AWS workloads and infrastructure
- Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities in AWS environments
- Respond to security incidents, investigating breaches to minimize damage
- Collaborate with teams to develop cloud security policies and best practices
- Monitor cloud environments for security threats and manage identity and access controls
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in cloud security or cybersecurity
- Hands-on experience with AWS security tools, such as CloudTrail and GuardDuty
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks and network security
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Relevant certifications, such as CCSP or AWS Security Specialty
- Experience with security tools like Splunk (SIEM)
- Familiarity with DISA STIG and SCAP standards
- Previous experience in collaborating with DevOps and engineering teams
- Understanding of cloud architecture design principles
