What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with the development team to understand application requirements and dependencies
- Design and implement cloud architecture solutions in AWS meeting DOD security and compliance standards
- Lead the migration effort from Azure to AWS, including assessing existing resources and executing the migration
- Manage development deployments and implement CI/CD pipelines for deployment automation
- Develop and implement security controls to ensure compliance with DOD security standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field or 10 years of related industry experience
- Minimum of 5 years of cloud engineering experience, focusing on AWS
- Hands-on experience with cloud migration projects, preferably in a DOD or government environment
- Strong understanding of DOD security requirements, including NIST standards and RMF processes
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Python, PowerShell, or Terraform
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- AWS certification(s) such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer preferred
- IAT level 2 or higher certification i.e. CompTIA Security +
- Active DOD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
