Job Description
- Req#: R-198330
- S4 Hana programme is forecast to spend >$1bn out to 2030
- Approx 65% Capex, 35% Non-Core Opex split
- Ensure month end and year end close is delivered on-time, and with high degree of quality, in particular the transaction coding to WBS project codes, avoiding the need for downstream reclass work
- Process month end journal using Blackline to enterprise standards, including diligent documentation and reconciliation of transactions
- Collaborate with other Finance teams in GFS and beyond to ensure Axial financial transactions are delivered efficiently and effectively
- Ensure compliance with all AZ financial controls (including SOX where applicable)
- Manage new master data creation as needed for Axial programme
- In collaboration with Axial HR Director and team, manage the interface of resource planning into financial management processes, and support scenario planning of FTE forecasts in planning tools used by HR
- Oversee the administration of SAP Timesheets, and ensure diligent audit trail maintenance for time worked on Axial to financial reported manpower costs
- Support on-boarding / off-boarding process to deliver a lean and satisfactory experience for employees and contractors
- Responsible for a group of Axial workstreams, work closely with the VP and their leaders to report on YTD financial performance, driving strong insights on variances to plan through meaningful and action orientated commentary
- Lead the regular budget/forecast planning cycles for the above, ensuring forecast submissions are challenged, signed-off and input to meet planning cycle timetable
- Drive understanding of financial risks and sensitivities in financial plans, communicating these effectively with Axial FD and peer FBPs
- For Axial workstreams bringing forward new scope extensions, collaborate closely with leaders to prepare quality business case for investment, benefits, timelines, and risks
- Apply goob business acumen to challenge the financial assumption, ensuring costings are reasonable and benefits are evaluated and ownership agreed.
- Coach programme team members on finance planning and control, paying close attention to external resources that have responsibilities to execute AZ financial processes (eg P2P, R2R)
- Communicate governance and compliance standards and statutory regulations to non-specialist in a way that is understandable and relevant and relays the risk of commercial decisions effectively.
- Qualified finance professional (or equivalent)
- Experience of Finance Business Partnering
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including oral & written.
- Excellent Interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrable knowledge of global and corporate business context
- Experience of using financial systems to support business decision making (budgeting, forecasting & modelling)
- Experience of working in a global pharmaceutical organisation / understanding of the drug development life cycle and/or commercial aspects

FBP will provide quality financial and commercial input to individual investment decisions, challenge key forecasting assumptions and deliver expert financial analysis of performance, forecasts, key risks and sensitivities.
They will be viewed by customers as a business expert with a specialism in Finance. They will be members of a small team of Finance Business Partners, sharing best practice and delivering valued support to the Business with global consistency and efficiency.
