What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Operate and maintain Microsoft Sentinel for SIEM/SOAR, including rule tuning and incident response
- Monitor and respond to alerts from Defender for Cloud and other security tools
- Execute vulnerability scanning, remediation, and patch validation using integrated tools
- Configure and maintain Azure Firewall and network security measures for boundary protection
- Support compliance efforts for FedRAMP and HIPAA control validation
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience as an Azure Security Engineer, Administrator, or SOC Analyst
- Deep experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, and Azure Firewall
- Proven experience managing POA&M processes and vulnerability remediation
- Strong understanding of Azure networking and security policies
- Familiarity with FedRAMP, HIPAA, and NIST 800-53 frameworks
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (strongly preferred)
- Experience with Microsoft Purview and security automation tools
- Background in healthcare or federal security operations
- Familiarity with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates for secure configuration automation
- Additional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CCSP
