      Jardeg is recruiting a Welder Foreperson to join our maintenance team at the CNRL Horizon site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. The Welder Foreperson Base Rate is $59.88/hr. This position is a permanent day shift position on a 7/7 shift rotation working 12 hours per day. This is a compressed schedule and is straight time for all hours worked on the regular maintenance schedule. Camp accommodation is provided at the Richardson camp, all rooms have a private washroom, and the camp is walking distance to the site footprint. Flights are provided from the Calgary or Edmonton flight hubs.

      As a Welder Foreperson will be expected to do but are not limited to the following tasks:

      • Assist with planning and organizing the day-to-day completion of projects to support production plans.
      • Supervise and organize tasks assigned to employees and oversee work performed Comprehend drawings and develop layout patterns for projects and calculate quantities of materials
      • Have a thorough knowledge of metals, arc electrodes, welding gases and gas welding filler rods
      • Recognize defective welds; know the cause and proper procedure for the repair of the defective area
      • Have a working knowledge of mathematics calculations pertaining to the welding trade
      • Have a working knowledge of the required codes
      • Be familiar with the work of other trades people in affiliated trades
      • Perform assigned tasks in accordance with quality and production standards required by industry

      Qualifications:

      • Minimum 2 Years Leadership experience
      • Commitment to safety protocols and adherence to industry regulations.
      • Physical aptitude to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and working at heights.

      Minimum Requirements:

      • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
      • Valid Journeyperson certification as a B Pressure Welder Journeyperson.
      • Welding tickets and/or welder performance qualification testing required - as per Heartland Constructors Inc. Performance Qualification testing of welder’s guideline:
      • F3/F4
      • F6/F5
      • F3-F3
      • CWB S or T-class
      • 661T / W1063 HFO
      • Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or CSTS-09
      • Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry & Monitor
      • Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection
      • Aerial Work Platform
      • Overhead Crane and Rigging
      • Valid Government Issued Identification
