Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in our Community Mental Health Recovery Team in Aldershot.
We are recruiting for an Receptionist/Administrator for a large Community Mental Health Recovery Service, based at Aldershot Centre for Health. The post is full time. You will be one of the first points of contact for telephone calls and people coming into the service.
The role is predominantly being a receptionist, working with all members of the clinical team including Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Community Psychiatric Nurses, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists. We run several busy clinics a week and reception plays a vital role in their smooth running. You will need to possess good telephone skills, excellent communication and organisational skills, be IT literate, and able to multi-task. All members of the team are valued and see good reception staff as integral to enable people who use services and carers to receive a good service.
Please note this is a fixed term post for 6 months.
Main duties of the job
- To ensure that all equiries are dealt with in an appropriate and polite manner and that an appropriate response is initiated.- To effectively respond, in a timely manner, to queiries from people who use services, carers and visitors.- Liaise and maintain pleasant and collaborative working relationships.- To be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of client data in accordance with Trust policy.- To be able to use SystmOne, the Trust's electronic health record. This will include checking client data to ensure it synchronised correctly, checking client appointments as well as scanning and uploading clinical information on to SystmOne as required.- To photocopy and send out clinical correspondence.- To tactfully exchange verbal and written information with clients and staff.- To take and pass on accurate messages via telephone calls/messages when necessary.- To be aware and sensitive towards those from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds.- To report issues which need management attention.- To implement Trust and team policies and procedures.
