      Job Title: Background Review Specialist

      Job Description

      This position involves reviewing background screenings that have been flagged due to issues that have arisen. The role requires addressing a backlog of 4000 background checks and managing new ones that are received daily. You will work through a queue to review background checks that have been flagged, assessing both misdemeanors and felonies. There will be a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) guideline to follow. Once a determination is made, notes will be entered into the system for the recruiting and onboarding team.

      Responsibilities

      • Review background screenings flagged for issues.
      • Manage and reduce a backlog of 4000 background checks.
      • Assess new background checks daily for potential issues.
      • Follow SOP guidelines for handling flagged convictions.
      • Enter notes into the system for recruiting and onboarding teams.

      Essential Skills

      • Compliance knowledge
      • Data management
      • Audit experience
      • Proficient in data entry

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • 2-3 years of experience in audit, compliance, or verification.
      • Experience in background verification or compliance is a huge plus.
      • Must have experience handling confidential information.
      • High school diploma required.

      Work Environment

      This is a remote opportunity; however, candidates should be local to the Memphis area.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
